Dr. Weiss….I have been wanting to talk to you and tell you what is going on with me. I went to Riverside, California to Dr. Franco who is a famous Rheumatologist that works with the antibiotic protocol plus nutrients and supplements as you do. Dr. Franco was thoroughly impressed with my doctor; YOU! I brought my blood work that you had done for me and he was blown away. He said “Your Doctor is a good one Andrea”. My name is Sharon Neal and I have been Dr. Weiss’ patient for many years.
Prior to becoming a patient I had searched, unsuccessfully, to find a doctor who practiced both alternative and traditional medicine. Having a doctor that is an expert in both disciplines is very important to me. I am very happy with Dr. Weiss’ natural treatments and therapies, which are welcomed alternatives to traditional medicine. I am very fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Weiss. Not only is he an expert in both disciplines, but he is dedicated to his patients. For example, when I became very ill a few years ago, Dr. Weiss determined I needed a specialist in traditional medicine. Regardless of the fact that I was in the hospital and under the care of a specialist, Dr. Weiss continued to monitor my condition. While I was in the hospital emergency room, he even spoke with the treating physician. I found great comfort in that my doctor cared enough to speak not only with me, but others that were treating me.
During the above episode, Dr. Weiss opined that I had a malady that should be treated by an Endocrinologist. I was examined by a local Endocrinologist, who gave me a clean bill of health. However, my symptoms continued. I then traveled to Mayo Clinic. Mayo’s Endocrinologist determined that Dr. Weiss’ original suspicions were correct and treated me for an unusual thyroid condition. Over the years I have come to rely on Dr. Weiss’ opinions in both alternative and traditional medicine.

I had been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis by a rheumatologist, even though the blood test was negative and my symptoms did not correspond to RA symptoms. Dr. Weiss discovered that my symptoms matched those for Lyme Disease, an ailment not usually seen in NM. He correctly diagnosed my condition, which was verified by a blood test, and I am currently on a supplement, also discovered by Dr. Weiss, which has helped control the symptoms of Lyme Disease. Before I became a patient of Dr. Weiss, I had been suffering from IBS symptoms for several years. Over those years, my primary care physician and my gastroenterologist had given me various tests, but couldn’t isolate the cause(s) of my problem. Also they gave me various prescriptions to deal with the symptoms, but these medicines either didn’t work very much all or I, in a couple of cases, had severe reactions to the drugs. My primary care doctor finally said to me, “You are just going to have to live with this.”

Not willing to give up on trying to get better, I was looking in the yellow pages one day and saw that Dr. Weiss seemed to be using a broader approach than did the more conventional doctors I had been using. His ad mentioned that he used the best of both Eastern and Western medicine. So, I decided to make an appointment. First, Dr. Weiss spent a great deal of time listening to me. Then, he ordered several lab tests, tests that had not been done by my other doctors. With his careful work, he was able to diagnose the causes of my problem, causes that turned out to be gluten intolerance plus a Candida overgrowth. Then, these identified causes were treated by a combination of approaches: dietary changes, Chinese herbal medicine, digestive supplements, and simple things like probiotics and digestive enzymes. (Interestingly, one of my previous doctors said he didn’t believe in the Candida theory. Also, both of my earlier doctors had simply accepted the negative results of a blood test for celiac disease and wouldn’t test any further for gluten intolerance.)

It has taken several months for my intestines to heal, but I am now feeling much better than I have in many years! It is clear that Dr. Weiss came up with a correct diagnosis and treatment for my problem. Based on my experience, I believe Dr. Weiss is truly an excellent physician, and I highly recommend him.

You saved my life! When I came to your office for a last minute appointment on 3-27-08, you knew that something was seriously wrong with me. You asked me many questions – questions others may not have asked. Although you didn’t know exactly what was wrong, you knew I was mentally and physically regressing and needed to go to an emergency room immediately. You called the ER Doctor at a local hospital and informed him that you were sending me in to their ER. He told you that it was not an emergency situation and should be handled by my regular doctor outside of the ER.

However, you persisted and called the ER at another local hospital. They did a complete neurological workup and ran lab work on me. They told us that the problem was not neurological, but physical. They told my mother that my potassium level was the
lowest they had ever seen. I would have been dead in another hour if I had not gotten in and began treatment when I did.
I was admitted into the hospital, and given potassium intravenously and orally for five days.

I thank God that you persisted in getting me into the Emergency Room. Thank God you knew what questions to ask. Thank God someone called to cancel their appointment and your office staff called me instead of someone else. Thank God the ER doctors at the second hospital acted quickly. If any of these things had gone differently, I would not be here.

I had terrible bronchitis for about two months. I tried every cough medicine I could get my hands on. Nothing was working. I spoke with Dr. Weiss for twenty minutes and he suggested a homeopathic remedy. I took the remedy as directed and within one minute, I felt a major shift in my body. I had motion sickness when traveling, especially on boats since childhood. In the early 90’s, Meniere’s Disease began with 3 days flat on my back and soreness and tenderness in my right ear. Then continuing symptoms of nausea and dizziness for years often accompanied by tenderness or pain in the right ear and swelling of right mastoid. The first attack of uncontrollable vomiting was in 2000 and then again when tested for Meniere’s in 2003. I was almost hospitalized until non-stop vomiting was stopped by Phenergan. Severe symptoms continued for a month until handed a homeopathic remedy that Dr. Weiss prescribed which put me on my back for 36 hours, (homeopathic aggravation) and then have had almost no symptoms since. Minor symptoms have been cured by handling the remedy for a minute or so.
